Mid March: We are growing

Our Menu is Changing! Starting April 1st, we are adding more adventures to our yoga repertoire!

AND for all of our not-into yoga friends, we are adding something for you!

You will see these new FITNESS classes on the schedule:

We are adding a new style of class to the schedule that is called Group Fitness. These classes, which will be currently taught by Yukari on Tuesdays and Fridays at 11:15 and Priscilla on Tuesdays and (tentatively) Thursdays at 4:30pm, will be available for Grassroots Members to book. These are NOT yoga classes and are built to invite some of the more “fitness-oriented” individuals.

We will also be offering “Open Gym” sessions 3 times a week (more slots coming soon!)

Both of these classes will be available to be used with Seed Cards. Please note: current unlimited memberships do not include gym usage. Members who currently hold an unlimited membership for the yoga studio (our monthly recurring memberships, 6 month, or 12 month members) can increase their membership to include the gym usage for just $45 a month.

This is going to be a one-time only opportunity to lock in on this price point for as long as your recurring membership continues, no matter how much we add to the schedule!

Since the Seed Cards will now function for both yoga and gym offerings, we are increasing Seed Card cost from $110 to $140 for a pack of ten classes.

Introducing Brigette Pugh as a Co-Owner!

I’m thrilled to share that Brigette Pugh is officially joining Grassroots Yoga Center as Studio Manager and Co-Owner!

I have shared a path with Brigette for the better part of a decade, as we both taught at Carson High School as English teachers for several years.

I welcome Brigette to the team as both a teacher and a leader to our Satsang. I imagine all the great things that will be happening: after all, can you imagine what two individuals with a superpower of teaching can do!? I just know with her help, we can bring Grassroots to the next level, enabling us to can serve more people in Carson through movement, reflection, and community.

Through our teaming up, we can increase our commitment to making yoga accessible, meaningful, and powerful—not just for individuals, but for the greater good of our Carson community.

Here’s to building something beautiful, together.

Welcome, Brigette!

And the best part: at the end of class you get to take home the playlist and pose-list to practice on your own. Read about the Lunar Influences and your Yoga Practice with Brigette Pugh's Moonshine Blog

This is a new Text block. Change the text.

Total Eclipse of the Past Close old chapters and step forward with the lunar eclipse and spring equinox.” Brigette Pugh. Mar 7.

Feeling any tectonic shifts lately? Noticing your friends and family face the end of a cycle and greet new beginnings on the other side? Something seems to be ‘in the air,’ right?’ Well, that’s because there is. In the northern hemisphere, on March 13th-14th, we will experience a full moon and a full lunar eclipse. And a week after that, March 20th, we celebrate the spring equinox and return of the light. Whew - that was a lot just to type. If you are feeling overwhelmed by all of it, Moonshine yoga is here to help!

Let’s start with the full moon and lunar eclipse. Previous issues of Moonshine Yoga have had plenty to say about the full moon and its bright, revealing (whether we want to see it or not) light. Add to that high-exposure energy the lunar eclipse, which brings a thinning of the veil between the physical and spiritual realms, and the sum total is a bunch of divine truth that is impossible to deny. Often that truth comes in the form of endings, a certain path forward is simply not an option anymore. Whether we were ready and waiting for that closure, or not, it takes some effort to integrate change and the practices below can help us release.
