Molly Dahl’s Retreat:

Grassroots is working with Molly Dahl to connect our yoga communities. If you are interested in attending her retreat from November 8-10, some of our instructors will be there and look forward to sharing this time with you as a community of yoga practitioners. See the attached flyer for more information.

Looking for a deeper study of Yoga?

Grassroots will be offering a Yoga Teacher Training in January of 2025. This is huge! Being able to support our community by growing and developing a deeper study of yoga—whether our students have the desire to teach yoga or not—will fundamentally change our space as we build a cohort of yoga learners together. I am so excited to participate in the 300-hour program alongside many of you interested in embarking on this journey. Read more about that invitation here.

Reiki Circle 11/7:

Welcoming all Reiki practitioners and those wanting to find out more, experience, share, give, and receive Reiki to explore the benefits of this powerful healing modality. Join Reiki Master Karen McCraw and other Reiki practitioners for an hour of healing and connection.

Reiki is an energy healing modality used to facilitate healing on all levels: body, mind, and spirit. The term Reiki means “universal life energy.” It comes from two Japanese words: “rei,” which means universal, and “ki,” which loosely translates to a flow of a lifeforce of energy that happens in all living things. When administering Reiki, a practitioner's hands hover slightly above or lightly on the body. Wear loose, comfortable clothing and bring your Reiki healing requests.

Reiki circles are a way for Reiki practitioners to hone their skills and receive healing themselves, as well as share with those who are curious about this modality and seek healing/sharing. The intention of this gathering is to send loving, supportive energy where it's needed the most.

Women’s Circle:

Join us for a special October Full Moon Women's Circle, an evening dedicated to connection, reflection, and empowerment. Under the luminous glow of the full moon, we will gather to share stories, set intentions, and celebrate the strength and wisdom of women. Expect guided meditations, heartfelt discussions, and rituals that honor our unique journeys. This sacred space is open to all women seeking community and a deeper connection with themselves and the lunar energy. Come as you are and leave feeling rejuvenated and inspired. Bring your open heart, journal, water bottle, and a snack to share.

Brigette Returns. Welcome Back, Brigette!

Sunday Morning Bliss Yoga with Brigette, 10/13:

We welcome Brigette Pugh back to our Sunday morning class. Brigette has a blog where she explores yoga philosophy and how it relates to the moon. Check out her most recent post here: https://open.substack.com/pub/moonshineyoga/p/entering-eclipse-season?r=3p5yu8&utm_campaign=post&utm_medium=email.

The High School Needs Substitute Teachers:

Becoming a substitute teacher for the Carson City School District offers Grassroots Yoga Center students a meaningful way to engage in community service. This role allows you to connect with local families and positively impact students' lives by fostering a supportive learning environment. Your background in yoga enhances your ability to promote mindfulness, resilience, and emotional well-being among young learners. By stepping into this role, you not only serve the educational needs of the community but also strengthen your ties within it, creating a network of support and inspiration that benefits both you and the families you serve.
