Part of my vision for Grassroots Yoga Center is to create a supportive community where people can turn during times of stress, anxiety, and life's challenges. I've personally experienced feelings of loneliness and isolation, even with therapy, medication, and a loving family. Through these experiences, I've learned that self-care is vital. When I took over Hotspot Yoga, I envisioned building something more meaningful for our community— a space where people could find support when they need it most.
Our monthly "Socials" are a cornerstone of this vision. These gatherings are designed for us to connect as humans beyond our yoga practice. It's these emotional and social bonds that transform our yoga space into a sanctuary of respite and connection.
If you’re interested in connecting with like-minded individuals and finding new friends, please join us for our Friday night social at The White House this month or for our Sunday Tea Time, which follows the 9:30 AM class on the 1st of the month. Both events are free and open to everyone—no membership required. At Grassroots Yoga Center, there's always a place for friendly faces and meaningful conversations.
In line with our focus on community and connection, I’m also shifting our Friday night yoga class to a Gentle Yoga format. This change aims to provide a softer practice that still involves movement but is more conducive to socializing afterwards.
