The Magic of Mindfulness Morning Texts... launching tomorrow!

Tomorrow, I’m launching a Mindfulness Magic text message series! This project has been a big undertaking, but I’m so proud to have pulled it off.


One of my teachers at the @sovereigngathering recently said that our bodies are “our last frontier.” How aware are we of our bodies on a daily basis? How often do we ignore physical pain or discomfort because we're too distracted? How often do we check in and see how we are breathing (or not breathing) deeply? It’s incredible how disconnected we can get from our bodies throughout the day. I know that when I was teaching, I would go all day in my classroom without taking a single deep breath. Thank goodness for yoga classes that guide us to reconnect.


In yoga, we build habits like working a muscle. We create neural pathways that help us stay connected with our bodies, and with practice, we start remembering to breathe a little deeper throughout the day. For the next 8 days, my students can build this habit through a text message I’ll send at 6am to start their day in a mindful way.


These 5-minute videos are essential for mindfulness, and making them was so much fun! Teaching, yoga, and connecting with people are my favorite things, and now, I get to bring them together in this new way. I’m thrilled that we’re here, on launch eve.
