OUTSIDE?

"Why We Practice Outside"
By Emilee Riggin

There’s something magical that happens when you take your practice outside. The mat becomes less of a boundary and more of a bridge — connecting you to the earth, the sky, the lake, the wind. Whether it’s the sound of birdsong during breathwork in the park or the feeling of water gently rocking beneath you in SUP yoga, these outdoor classes remind us what yoga really is: presence, connection, and deep listening.

At Grassroots, we believe that yoga isn’t confined to four walls. It lives in our daily rhythms, in the quiet moments we make for ourselves, and in the way we choose to show up for each other. That’s why we’ve kept most of these outdoor experiences part of your membership. From beach meditations to mountaintop flows to weekend walks in the woods, these offerings are about more than movement — they’re about community connection.

Our goal has always been to create space for people to belong — not just to a studio, but to each other and to the world around them. Outdoor yoga gives us the chance to be reminded of that, again and again.

Let’s keep moving, breathing, and being — together.

Ditching the tech. Get IRL this summer.

We are feeling the pull of our digital obligations tug against the threads of our own lives. In time with our kids, our partners, our friends, and colleagues, we are all finding our attention fragmented and our perspective colored.

Join the rebellion as we ditch the tech and get IRL.
